Alison was completely invaluable as a virtual doula in summer 2020, when I gave birth to twins mid-pandemic, 3,000 miles from my family. Before I gave birth, she helped prepare me for what to expect. After we came home with the babies she offered amazing emotional and practical support via FaceTime, and was particularly helpful when the twins were diagnosed with reflux. She really helped make up for what we lacked in a close network during this time, and because she was virtual was always enormously flexible, working around the fact that newborns don’t respect schedules. I can’t imagine having gotten through this period without her.

Alison Frauenglass became my postpartum Doula after the birth of my second daughter Zoe in late February. When she came for her first visit she was so pleasant, kind and friendly. My five year old was immediately enamored with her. She even brought face paint with her and allowed my daughter to paint her face! My daughter was in heaven. I was so exhausted from a very long hospital stay and I fell asleep Alison’s second visit while she played with my daughter for two hours. That was much needed sleep and I appreciated that my daughter had some one on one attention.
Unfortunately soon after our few visits we could no longer meet up because I left the city to stay with my parents due to The Coronavirus, but Alison has continued to be my Doula and we video chat at least twice a week. It's always so nice to talk to her and she offers great advice on babywearing, breastfeeding and my mental well being. Sometimes, Alison still entertains my five year old over facetime, which is very helpful during this time we have spent social distancing. It's been a pleasure working with Alison and I highly recommend her as a Doula. She will make your postpartum life so much easier.

I would strongly recommend Alison’s postpartum doula services. Alison came to help me after the birth of our second child, so we had a pretty hectic home with the new baby our 2.5-year-old working on getting adjusted to the new situation. Alison really helped me care for the baby in a calm and professional way, and offered invaluable support with breastfeeding that I think helped me be more successful than I was with our first baby. She recognized all the challenges of mothering a newborn, and helped me find ways to look after my health, prepare meals, and create some calm for our family during a time of adjustment. Alison was warm and attentive with the baby, and we were all grateful to have her help and guidance.

Alison was great, far exceeded expectations. She was extremely helpful when I was overwhelmed and stressed returning from the hospital. She calmed me down, and helped exactly with what I needed. Whether that meant holding Reece, making coffee, foot rub, referrals to other helpers, helpful YouTube videos, and tons of postpartum knowledge. I am an MD and still found her knowledge base to be extremely good and helpful.
